BULANDSHAHAR: As Uttar Pradesh Police still struggling to nab all the accused involved in the brutal gangrape of a woman and her teenage daughter by bandits on Friday night in Bulandshahar, locals said that this is not the first case that has happened near the bypass on National Highway- 91.

According to villagers, a similar incident took place at the same spot about 8-10 days before the brutal Bulandshahar gangrape on NH 91 near Dostpur village.

"A similar incident happened about 8-10 days before this brutal gangrape took place. We got the news, immediately reached the spot and called up the police. We also found a mobile phone at the spot and handed it over to the cops along with other evidences," a villager Nirmal Singh told ABP News.

"Next day we asked the police about it.. but they said that no one had registered a complain about the incident," Singh added.

A woman and her 14-year-old daughter were travelling from Noida to Shahjahanpur along with their family on Friday night when bandits waylaid them on NH 91 near Dostpur village in Bulandshahar and brutally raped them after dragging them out of their car.

The criminals employed a unique ruse to stop the car, creating an obstacle that made it seem the car had a defect, and when the driver stopped to check, the gang members burst out and held the family at gun-point.

While one of the eight criminals put the pistol at the driver's head and took the all male members to a sugarcane field where they were kept restrained, the other accomplices took the two women - a 39-year-old and her 13-year-old daughter - to the other side and gang raped them.
