New Delhi: Slain Border Security Force trooper Prem Sagar, killed and mutilated by Pakistani Army in J&K’s Krishna Ghati, was cremated at his native Deoria on Wednesday. A distraught daughter of Sagar had demanded '50 heads in return' of her father's life. Sagar after being martyred was beheaded by the Pakistani Army in J&K’s Krishna Ghati. "His sacrifice should not be forgotten, we want 50 heads in return for his life," said Saroj. His family refused to conduct the funeral until Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited them. According to newagency IANS, Officials informed that the Chief Minister spoke to the bereaved family late on Tuesday night and extended his sympathies to them.  He also assured them a visit before the 'terhvi' (the thirteenth day post-death ritual observed by the Hindus). Adityanath is also learnt to have assured a "befitting memorial" honouring Sagar and a primary school in the village to commemorate him. Locals in his village had blocked rail traffic for several hours on Tuesday to protest against the killing The recent barbaric attack by the neighbouring country has yet again worsened its relation with India, Pakistan's military and foreign office denied that a Border Action Team (BAT) from that country had mutilated the bodies of the two Indian soldiers and called the Indian allegations of the attack false. "The Pakistan Army did not commit any ceasefire violation on the Line of Control as alleged by India," Pakistan foreign ministry spokesperson Nafees Zakaria said. India's Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) Lt Gen A K Bhatt spoke to his Pakistani counterpart on Tuesday and expressed his "grave concern" over the incident. "The DGMO of the Indian Army conveyed that such a dastardly and inhuman act is beyond any norms of civility and merits unequivocal condemnation and response," the Indian Army said in a statement.
