Delhi's Air Quality Continues To Be In 'Poor' Category For 4th Day Ahead Of Diwali

The air quality in Delhi remained poor for the fourth consecutive day on Saturday with stubble burning accounting for 12 per cent of the national capital's PM2.5 pollution, government data showed.

According to the Ministry of Earth Sciences' air quality forecast agency SAFAR, over 1,800 farm fires were observed in the northwest region of Delhi on Friday.

There seems to be a lot of movement in the political circles today as two important leaders from Congress and BJP - Rahul Gandhi & Amit Shah - are kicking-off their Vidhan Sabha campaigns. Rahul Gandhi will be in Goa ahead of the Assembly polls of 2022, while Amit Shah will be in Uttarakhand today, he will kickstart BJP's campaign from Dehradun. 


We also have by-election of three Lok Sabha and 29 Vidhan Sabha seats across India. The Lok Sabha by-polls are for the seats of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Mandi in Himachal Pradesh and Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh. Out of the 29 Assembly seats, five are from Assam, four from Bengal. There are also seats in Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Bihar, Karnataka and Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Maharashtra, Mizoram and Telangana. The results of these bypolls will be held on 4 November.


We are also keeping a close watch on the Aryan Khan news. After his legal team failed to meet the 5:30 deadline of getting a peron out of jail, SRK's son is expected to walk out of jail on Saturday. 


Prime Minister Narendra Modi left New Delhi to attend the G20 Summit in Rome on Friday. The Prime Minister will meet Pope Francis on Saturday. He is also likely to meet French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi. We are also keeping a track of PM's movements in Rome ahead of the G-20 summit.
