Singhu Border Incident: 2 More Nihangs Detained By Haryana Police

Two more Nihangs were detained by Haryana Police in connection with the matter Body of a man, Lakhbir Singh was found hanging with hands, legs chopped at the spot where farmers' protest is underway. 2 accused have already been arrested in this matter.

Second Accused In Singhu Border Killing Arrested By Amritsar Police

Second accused Narayan Singh was arrested by Amritsar Rural Police from Rakh Devidass Pura, Amarkot village (Punjab) on Saturday. Yesterday the body of a man, Lakhbir Singh was found hanging with hands, legs chopped at the spot where farmers' protest is underway.


We arrested him outside a Gurudwara in his village. When he realised he can't escape, he came out. Haryana Police informed. Their team has left from Sonipat. We'll hand him over to them as per law. If they don't come, we'll investigate him here: Rakesh Kaushal, Amritsar Rural SSP

The Congress Working Committee is scheduled to meet on Saturday, 11 am, under the chairmanship of Congress President Sonia Gandhi. The working committee meeting is scheduled to discuss all other important issues including Lakhimpur Kheri, but all eyes will be on what is decided to elect a new and permanent president in the Congress, as the G-23 leaders had once again started surrounding the Congress leadership on the issue recently.


We will keep a tab on updates from the CWC meet. 


Meanwhile, Navjyot Singh Sidhu, last night tweeted a video where he says that all his grievances were kept in front of Rahul Gandhi and all issues have been resolved. "Navjot Singh Sidhu has said that his leaders are Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and he will follow whatever they say and will continue working for the party," said AICC in-charge of Punjab, Harish Rawat to ANI.


In other news, farmers protest has come under the scanner since the murder of a person in broad daylight, allegedly by the Nihang Sikhs at the Singhu border of New Delhi.
