Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair an all-party meeting ahead of the winter session of the parliament to discuss agendas for the upcoming session. House leaders of all political parties have been invited to attend the meeting in both the Houses of Parliament. 

The government will introduce The Farm Laws Repeal Bill, 2021 to withdraw three controversial farm laws. 

Apart from this, PM Modi will conduct his 83rd Mann Ki Baat today at 11 am. It is his monthly address to the nation which he began doing since he was made the PM of India.

In other news, the outbreak of a new variant of Coronavirus called Omicron, reportedly more potent and contagious compared to other strains discovered so far, has triggered a global scare.

Against the backdrop of its emergence, the World Health Organization (WHO) appealed to countries in the South-East Asia region to scale up surveillance, strengthen public health and social measures and enhance vaccination coverage to restrict its impact. 

Today, there is a kisan Mahapanchayat in Mumbai.  Leaders of the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) on Sunday will address a 'Kisan-Mazdoor Mahapanchayat' at Azad Maidan in Mumbai to demand a legal guarantee for MSP, the removal of Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni over the Lakhimpur Kheri violence, the withdrawal of the Electricity Amendment Bill, and other protesting farmers' demands.
