Rahul Gandhi To Reappear Before ED In Money Laundering Case
After being grilled for over 10 hours today for the second time, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has asked former Congress President Rahul Gandhi to reappear for questioning on Wednesday in connection with a money laundering case linked to National Herald newspaper, sources told news agency ANI. Even on Monday, Gandhi was grilled for about ten hours and summoned again for Tuesday.
Today, the Wayanad MP reached the ED office at around 11.07 am this morning and directly went inside without speaking to the media. A three-member team will reportedly interrogate him on Wednesday.
Cong Likely To Attend Oppn Meet Called By Mamata Banerjee
The Congress is likely to attend the meeting of political parties convened by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday for deliberations over a joint opposition candidate for the post of President, sources told news agency PTI.
They said Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge, who is also the leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha, Jairam Ramesh and Randeep Surjewala may attend the meeting on behalf of the party. Several opposition parties are likely to attend the meeting and take forward the discussion on the joint candidate.
Spanish Foreign Minister To Visit India Today
Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares Bueno will visit India on Wednesday with a focus on deepening bilateral cooperation in a range of areas, including trade, defence, climate change and science and innovation.
Albares is scheduled to hold extensive talks with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest.
"Jose Manuel Albares Bueno, Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, Spain, will pay an official visit to India on June 15," the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said.

President Ram Nath Kovind will embark on a trip to Goa on Tuesday during which he is scheduled to lay the foundation for a new Raj Bhavan. The President will on Wednesday lay the foundation stone for the new Raj Bhavan in the state capital's Dona Paula area.
