'Delhi Chalo' Call: 3 Union Ministers To Hold Another Meeting With Farmer Leaders On Feb 12
Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher on Saturday said the Centre has invited them for a meeting to discuss their demands on February 12.
He said three Union ministers -- Piyush Goyal, Arjun Munda and Nityanand Rai -- will arrive in Chandigarh on February 12 to hold talks with a deputation of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha.
The meeting will be held at the Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration in Sector 26 here, a day before the farmers' proposed 'Delhi Chalo' march.
Pandher also shared the letter inviting them to hold the talks in Chandigarh.
The first meeting with the three Union ministers was held on February 8 in which a detailed discussion was held with the leaders of farmer organisations which planned 'Delhi Chalo' march to press for their demands, including a law to guarantee a minimum support price for crops, was held.
Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann To Visit Ayodhya On Monday
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his Punjab counterpart Bhagwant Mann will visit Ayodhya on Monday to pay obeisance at the newly built Ram temple, AAP sources said.
The Aam Aadmi Party convener was invited to the January 22 consecration ceremony at the temple but had said that he wanted to visit the temple later with his family.
"Kejriwal and Mann will be going to Ayodhya tomorrow. They will be accompanied by their families also," a source said on Sunday. While Kejriwal did not attend the consecration ceremony on January 22, the AAP had organised a series of events in the national capital to celebrate the occasion. From organising shobha yatras to Sundar Kand recitals, the party had marked the day with several of its leaders participating in them.
PM To Give Appointment Letters In Port Blair 'Rozgar Mela' Virtually On Feb 12
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute appointment letters through video conferencing to newly recruited individuals of Andaman and Nicobar Islands at a 'Rozgar Mela' (employment fair) to be held here on February 12, an official said.
All the selected candidates have been informed that offer of appointment orders will be issued during the 'Rozgar Mela' scheduled to be held on February 12 and they were requested to be present at the Netaji Stadium, the official said.
"A Rozgar Mela (employment fair) is scheduled to be held on February 12 at Netaji Stadium in Port Blair. All selected candidates to various Group C posts (lists issued by the local administration on January 24 and February 6, 2024) will be given their appointment letters", he said.
A total of 2,721 people will be given appointment letters in the mela, the official said.
