BJP president Jagat Prakash Nadda said on Saturday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led central government has done a lot for farmers with a fourfold increase in the agricultural budget in eight years.
Addressing a public meeting at the municipal council ground in Paonta Sahib in Himachal Pradesh's Sirmour district, Nadda claimed that no other government worked so much for the farmers as the current dispensation.
The Opposition kept talking about the farmers' agitation, but the Modi government focused on helping farmers prosper, he claimed.
"The agricultural budget has seen a fourfold increase during Narendra Modi's tenure as prime minister. It is now Rs 1,33,000 crore from just Rs. 33,000 crore in 2014," he said.
Arvind Kejriwal & Manish Sisodia will go on a two-day visit to Gujarat, ANI reported. The duo will reach Ahmedabad on August 22 and address a town hall meeting in Himatnagar at 3 pm. They will also attend a townhall meeting in Bhavnagar on August 23 at 3 pm

Rajasthan: BJP To Protest Over Law & Order Today
The Bharatiya Janata Party will protest in Jaipur on Saturday over the issue of law and order in the state, a party spokesperson said.
The spokesperson said the party will hold a demonstration from 10 am from Shaheed Memorial to the chief minister's residence under the leadership of state BJP president Satish Poonia.
The demonstration will be against rising atrocities women, illegal mining, crime against seers and cases of mob lynching, he said.

Jharkhand: Heavy Rain Likely, 'Red Alert' Issued For Some Districts
The Ranchi Meteorological Centre has issued a ‘red alert’ for parts of Jharkhand, where heavy rainfall is likely from Friday evening due to the impact of a deep depression over the Bay of Bengal, news agency PTI quoted officials as saying.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall might continue till Saturday in many parts of the state, they said.
A ‘red alert’ (07-20 cm rainfall) has been issued for Saraikela-Kharswan, East and West Singhbhum districts, the officials said, adding, some districts in west and central Jharkhand might also experience heavy to very heavy rainfall.
CBI Raids Sisodia's Home In Excise Policy Case. Names 15 In FIR
The CBI on Friday raided the home of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and 30 other locations in connection with alleged corruption in the implementation of the Delhi Excise Policy.
The AAP condemned the raids with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal claiming the agency has been "asked from above" to harass its leaders. The BJP asked the Delhi government to come out clean on its excise policy.
The searches at the AAP leader's home, the residence of IAS officer and former excise commissioner Arava Gopi Krishna and 29 other places took place after the CBI registered an FIR for alleged corruption and bribery formulation and execution of the Delhi Excise Policy brought out last November, officials said.
