Air India is restoring salaries of employees in a phased manner to pre-pandemic levels as the aviation sector is recovering with the decline of COVID-19 cases in the country, according to the airline's official document on Tuesday.
Air India's document on Tuesday said pilots' flying allowance, special pay and wide body allowance were cut by 35 per cent, 40 per cent and 40 per cent, respectively, after the onset of the pandemic.

Delhi To Witness Gusty Winds, Thunderstorms On Friday
The national capital got some respite from the scorching heat as the city experienced thunderstorms and gusty winds on Thursday evening.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the sky will remain partly cloudy on Friday. The weather office also predicted that heatwave conditions are unlikely in the city for the next three days.
The maximum and minimum temperatures on Friday are likely to hover around 40 and 25 degrees Celsius respectively, IMD officials said.
Karnataka Min Eshwarappa To Submit Resignation To CM Bommai On Friday
Karnataka Minister K S Eshwarappa, who is facing charges of abetment to suicide in connection with the death of a civil contractor in Udupi, said he would tender his resignation letter to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Friday.
The announcement comes a day after he was named in the FIR registered in connection with the death of Santosh K Patil, who had charged Eshwarappa with corruption.

The Delhi government has issued a fresh advisory for schools in the national capital, directing them to close the entire premises or specific wings temporarily if any student or staff tests positive for Covid-19.
Delhi reported 325 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, while the positivity rate stood at 2.39 per cent, according to data shared by the city's health department.

MP: Curfew Relaxed For Small Intervals In Violence-Hit Khargone
Curfew was relaxed for two intervals of two hours on Thursday in violence-hit Khargone city of Madhya Pradesh with police saying that the alleged role of the Popular Front of India (PFI) in Sunday's riot would be investigated.
