Bhagwant Mann took oath as the new Chief Minister of Punjab at Bhagat Singh's ancestral village. After the swearing-in ceremony, Mann raised the slogan of 'Inquilab Zindabad. He addressed the supporters and said that like other political leaders he won't run to foreign countries but will stay here and find out the root cause of issues in Punjab.
He said that like the Delhi model, the govt will now build schools in Punjab, will work on issues like unemployment, corruption, problems faced by farmers. He said, " we are also the govt of those who did not vote for us and will also work for their development.
Bhagwant Mann will be taking oath as the Punjab Chief Minister shortly and AAP Convenor Arvind Kejriwal will be present during the ceremony.
In a tweet, Kejriwal said he had left for Khatkar Kalan to witness a historic moment."
"It's a big day for Punjab today. In this golden morning of new hope, the entire Punjab will today come together and take a pledge to make it a prosperous Punjab. To witness the historic moment, I have also left for Khatkar Kalan, the native village of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Kejriwal tweeted in Hindi.
