Police officers who will be deployed in Delhi during the G20 Summit are being trained under the supervision of Deputy Director of Delhi Police Academy Uma Shankar. While talking about their training, he said, "Almost 10,000 personnel deployed at different ITPO centres and nearby areas, where it is a possibility that they will be interacting with foreign delegates are given software-skill training. Country-based etiquettes like social distancing and salutations were taught by experts from different universities."

Countdown To India's First Mission To The Sun Begins

India's first Sun Mission, Aditya-L1 is scheduled for Saturday at 1150 IST from the launch pad at Sriharikota. Launch rehearsal and vehicle internal checks have all been completed.  Aditya-L1 is India's first solar space observatory and will be launched by the PSLV-C57. It will be carrying seven different payloads in order for the scientists to have a detailed study of the sun, four of which will observe the light from the sun and the other three will measure in-situ parameters of the plasma and magnetic fields, reported ANI.

30-Yr-Old Man Shot Dead In Lucknow, Investigation Underway

A 30-year-old man named Vinay Shrivastava was shot dead in Lucknow on Friday. Rahul Raj DCP West Lucknow on the unfortunate incident said, "Vinay Shrivastava, aged 30 years has been shot dead at the residence of Vinay Kishore. The incident took place around 4 am today. Dog Squad, Crime Branch and Forensic teams are at the spot for investigation. On the complaint of the deceased's brother, an FIR has been registered. A licensed revolver has been found, we are investigating that. The body has been sent for post-mortem."

President Approves Renaming Of Nehru Memorial Museum & Library As Prime Minister's Museum: Gazette

President Droupadi Murmu on Thursday approved the renaming of the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library (NMML) as the Prime Ministers' Museum, read the gazette notification. 






Earlier in June, Congress on Friday launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for renaming 'Nehru Memorial Museum and Library Society' as 'Prime Ministers' Museum and Library Society'. Congress spokesperson Gourav Vallabh said that the Prime Minister can remove the name of Pandit Jawahar all Nehru from the wall but not from the 'hearts of 140 crore Indians'.

Delhi Police Arrests Two In Connection With Bhajanpura Murder Case, Total Four Arrested Till Now

The Delhi Police on Thursday arrested two more people named Sohail alias Chaudhary and Jubair alias Kasawra (both 23 years old) at about 11:30 pm in connection with the Bhajanpura murder case. Speeding Train Kills 5 Rail Workers In Italy

Five rail maintenance workers died when they were run over by a speeding train outside the station of Brandizzo, a town in northern Italy. Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI), the country's rail network operator, has confirmed reports of the incident that took place late on Wednesday, Xinhua news agency reported, citing a statement.


An RFI spokesman told the news agency that the workers were conducting routine maintenance work on the tracks when they were struck by a cargo train reportedly travelling at around 160 km (100 miles) per hour. The identities of the victims were not revealed, though news reports said the youngest of them was 22 years old.

Indian American Arrested In New Jersey In USD 13 Million Tech Fraud

An Indian American has been arrested in New Jersey on charge of being part of a technical support scam that targeted more than 7,000 victims defrauding them of more than USD 13 million, a US Attorney announced Thursday, as reported by news agency PTI. Charged with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, Manoj Yadav appeared before US Magistrate Judge José R. Almonte in Newark federal court.


"The defendant and his conspirators are alleged to have misled their numerous victims into thinking that they were a legitimate technology support company affiliated with a major software company," US Attorney Philip R Sellinger said, as quoted by PTI.

Solar Mission Countdown To Start From Today, Says ISRO Chief


ISRO Chairman S Somanath said the space agency was getting ready for the September 2 launch of the country's ambitious solar mission, Aditya-L1, and that the countdown for its launch will start tomorrow. The mission is scheduled to be launched on September 2 at 11.50 am from the Sriharikota spaceport in Andhra Pradesh.


Aditya-L1 spacecraft is designed for providing remote observations of the solar corona and in situ observations of the solar wind at L1 (Sun-Earth Lagrangian point), which is about 1.5 million kilometres from the Earth. It will be the first dedicated Indian space mission for observations of the Sun to be launched by the Bengaluru-headquartered space agency.


Maharashtra NDA Allies, INDIA Bloc To Hold Parallel Meets In Mumbai on Sept 1


With the Lok sabha elections scheduled for early next year a direct battle is brewing between the Opposition INDIA alliance and the ruling NDA. On September 1 both alliances will have parallel high level meetings in Mumbai, Maharashtra.


The INDIA alliance members are scheduled to hold a joint meeting on September 1 in Mumbai. The meeting will discuss the alliance strategies for Lok Sabha election and the seat sharing in the states. A new logo of the INDIA alliance is also likely to be launched.


At the same time the NDA alliance in Maharashtra with new partner the Ajit Pawar-led NCP faction is also scheduled to meet on Friday in Mumbai. NCP MP Sunil Tatkare, who represents the Ajit Pawar faction said “In this meeting, all our state government alliance partners BJP, ShivSena (Eknath Shinde) and NCP (Ajit Pawar) will participate.”


VP Dhankhar To Launch MDL’s P-17A Stealth Frigate ‘Mahendragiri’ Today


Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar will launch the fourth Stealth Frigate of Project-17 Alpha, ‘Mahendragiri’ being built by the Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd (MDL) on Friday in Mumbai. The fourth and final ship of the Nilgiri Class being constructed by the MDL, the ‘Mahendragiri’ has been designed by the Indian Navy’s Bureau of Naval Design and shall be fitted with advanced state-of-the-art weapons, sensors, communication facilities, and other systems.
