Sopore: Terrorists on Saturday attacked a joint team of police and CRPF at Naka in Jammu and Kashmir. The incident took place in Sopore’s Arampora. According to sources, 2 CRPF personnel have died and 2 are severely injured.


2 civilians have also lost their lives in the attack. The area has been cordoned off by the security forces and a manhunt has been launched to nab the fleeing terrorists which are being said are still hiding in the same area.


Police said terrorists hurled a grenade at a joint party of police and CRPF in the main market of Sopore town.

The terrorists opened fire targeting security forces in the Sopore town of Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said. They fired at a joint party of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and police near Main Chowk Sopore at around 12pm, the officials added.


The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital from where a policeman was taken to the Indian Army's 92 Base Hospital, PTI reported.
