New Delhi: Chinese forces have resorted to old propaganda devices including the use of loudspeakers to mislead Indian troops, as the tensions along the Line of Actual Control remain unconstrained. Though, psychological warfare is an old trick of India’s northern neighbor, and the army is well acquainted to PLA’s tactics, India too has installed loudspeakers to counter the Chinese propaganda bid, sources have said.

As per the information received after the Indian Army dominated the strategic heights , Chinese Army tried to move in tanks and vehicles, which was also foiled by the alert troops. Later, the Chinese troops started playing Punjabi song on the finger four of the Pangong Lake to distract the Indian forces.

On the Southern banks of Pangong Tso as wekk, the Chinese PLA sent out messages in Hindi about the futility of being  deployed at these heights in winter season, said a report in HT.

Now, giving a befitting reply, India has done the same thing and installed one loudspeaker on Indian side as well, sources have said.

As per reports China had used similar propaganda techniques in the 1962 war. The Chinese PLA is still riding on the 1962 war results, without realizing that it will have to face a better trained and better prepared Indian Army this time.
