The Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday slammed the Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government in Rajasthan over the 'Red Diary' allegations levelled on it by the sacked minister Rajendra Gudha. Gudha on Wednesday released three pages of the diary with proof of alleged corrupt practices and wrongdoings of the state Congress. While reading pages of the diary, he alleged corruption in the Rajasthan Cricket Association.
Calling it a "Bofors moment for Rajasthan government," the saffron party said the allegations have been levelled by the government itself. "The 'red diary' is revealing the doings of not just Rajasthan CM but also his son...This is Bofors moment for Rajasthan government because the allegations are by the government itself..." said BJP National Spokesperson Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi, as quoted by ANI.
During a press conference on Wednesday, Gudha held up the ‘Red Diary’ and also read a couple of pages from it saying he will continue revealing more secrets in the coming days. Invoking a purported conversation between Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, his Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Saubhag Singh and Tourism Development Corporation Chairman Dharmendra Rathore, Gudha said the diary mentions talks on settling accounts of the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA), as reported by ANI. Significantly, CM Gehlot's son Vaibhav Gehlot is the president of RCA.
Expressing his apprehension about going to jail, Gudha said that even if I go to jail, there will be new revelations in the diary. He further stated that the red diary contains all the proofs of corruption done by the Ashok Gehlot government. "Even if I go to jail, there will be new revelations in the diary. Corruption details are there in this diary. The red diary contains all the proofs of corruption done by the Ashok Gehlot government. They are planning to file false cases against me," Gudha said, as quoted by ANI.
