West Bengal BJP leaders took to the streets of Kolkata to protest over the rising cases of dengue in the state in a unique way. In the video tweeted by ANI, the leaders can be seen shouting against the government and carrying a mosquito net, along with a model of mosquito with them.
Speaking to the reporters during the protest, Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari said, “Health Minister doesn't come to the House (Assembly). No discussion takes place over Health and Home Departments, they don't take questions.”
Last week On Tuesday, BJP activists have staged a protest outside the Howrah Municipal Corporation office over the increasing number of dengue deaths in the state. The activist carried a model of Dengue-causing Aedes mosquito.
BJP workers had clashed with the Kolkata police earlier while trying to stage a demonstration outside the residence of city mayor Firhad Hakim.

Union Minister of State for Health, Bharati Pravin Pawar had previously accused the Trinamool Congress government in the state of not sharing the dengue-related data with the Centre.
The state of West Bengal is witnessing one of its worst dengue outbreaks and with the situation being bad in Calcutta, North 24-Parganas, Murshidabad, Jalpaiguri, Howrah and Hooghly. Reports suggest that dengue count in the state is the worst in five years.
The number of cases has already crossed the mark of 40,000 in the state.
CM Manata Banerjee on November 9 said that dengue cases are witnessing a downward trend in the state.
