New Delhi: BJP Parliamentary Party Executive Committee has been constituted with PM Narendra Modi as the leader of the party in Lok Sabha and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has been appointed as the deputy leader of the party in the lower house.


Home Minister Amit Shah will continue as the national president of party.

Minister of Social empowerment and justice Thawar Chand Gehlot has been appointed as the leader of party in Rajya Sabja and Minister of Railways and Commerce Piyush Goyal has been appointed as deputy leader of the party in the upper house. Goyal is currently a Rajya Sabha member from of Maharashtra. He was formerly the National Treasurer of the BJP

Prahlad Joshi, BJP MP from Dharwad constituency in Karnataka and the ex-President of the state unit of the BJP has been appointed as the Chief Whip of the government.

Arjun Meghwal, who is the Minister of State for Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation and Parliamentary Affairs, will be the Deputy Chief Whip in the Lok Sabha.


V Muraleedharan will be the Deputy Chief Whip of the government in the Rajya Sabha.

In Lok Sabha, Sanjay Jaiswal has been appointed as BJP’s Chief Whip, while Narayam Lal Panchariya will be BJP’s Chief Whip in Rajya Sabha.

Ganesh Singh has been appointed as the secretary of parliamentary party for Lok Sabha and Bhupendra Yadav has been made the secretary of parliamentary party in Rajya Sabha. Gopal Shetyy will be treasurer for the party.
