After changing the state presidents in four states, BJP is likely to make organisational changes in Karnataka, Gujarat, Kerala, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Madhya Pradesh soon, sources told ABP News.
Sources said Shobha Karandlaje or Aswath Narayan could be made Karnataka unit chief. The Kerala BJP unit may be headed by V Muraleedharan.
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya or Purushottam Rupala are frontrunners for Gujarat BJP president post.
Krishnapal Gujjar or Ram Vilas Sharma can be made Haryana unit chief while Dr Jitendra Singh or MP Jugul Kishore may be given the reins of Jammu and Kashmir, which is likely to go for polls soon.
Minister of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar or Prahlad Patel are likely to head the BJP unit in Madhya Pradesh.
On Tuesday, BJP named Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, Sunil Jakhar and Babulal Marandi as presidents of its Telangana, Punjab and Jharkhand state units respectively. Former Union Minister D Purandeswari has been made BJP's new Andhra Pradesh president.
OBC leader Etela Rajender has been made the election management committee chairperson in Telangana, which will go to polls later this year.
The rejig in Telangana comes after several leaders were upset with the leadership of Bandi Sanjay Kumar, PTI reported. Sources told PTI that Bandi Sanjay Kumar might be inducted as a minister in the Central government in a reshuffle in the coming days.
Jakhar replaces Ahwani Sharma in Punjab BJP while Marandi comes in the place of Deepak Prakash in Jharkhand.
The reshuffle shows that BJP has given primacy to leaders who have joined the saffron party from other parties recently.
Jakhar and Rajender left the Congress and the BRS respectively to join the BJP. Purandeswari was in the Congress and a minister in the UPA government.
