Population Issue: In the upcoming Parliament session, some members will present the Private Member Bill and demand a discussion on the population control law.
According to sources informing ABP News, BJP Rajya Sabha MPs Rakesh Sinha, Anil Agarwal, and Harnath Singh Yadav are to present the Private Member Bill regarding the population control issue during the upcoming monsoon Parliamentary session.

BJP MP Harnath Singh Yadav says that he has introduced a Private Member Bill in the Rajya Sabha demanding a population control law. Harnath Singh Yadav says population control law should have provisions that prevent people with more than 2 kids from getting the benefits of government schemes.
"They should be banned from contesting elections and if they do not comply, legal action must be taken," he added. Harnath Singh Yadav says this law is needed not only at the state level but also at the central level.
"It should be applicable to the nation's 135,00,000 populace. The law shouldn't be against any religion or community but in the interest of the country," the MP added.
On the other hand, BJP MP Rakesh Sinha had brought a Private Member Bill in 2019 regarding population control. The bill might be discussed in the upcoming session of Parliament.

Rakesh Sinha believes that a law should be made for the whole country, although there should be a provision that strict action will not be taken against people for 18 months after the law is enacted. Instead, this time should be used to educate people.
After 18 months, if people do not comply, then steps like limiting government schemes and doing away with electoral politics can be taken.
He says that "if we do not control the situation now, 28-30 years down the line there will be a situation where there's a shortage of resources due to the explosion of population."
