Reacting to the statements from BJP on Shatrughan's statement over GST, he said while speaking to ABP News that if Finance Minister Arun Jaitley can talk big about GST, then why can't he speak on the matter.
He further targeted the government over demonetisation and said that people have suffered a lot because of the note ban. Sinha raised his concern over the centre's move to demonetise the high-valued currency notes and said that many people died and lives were ruined because of the decision that was taken on 8 November 2016.
Shatrughan on attending AAP rally
The BJP MP attended the Jan Adhikar rally of AAP and he termed it as not an 'anti-party activity' but a 'pro-democracy venture'. Prior to attending the rally, the actor took to Twitter and wrote, "..Sir! Going to be great show at “Jan Adhikar” rally in Varanasi with topmost social thinker/leaders & intellectuals from AAP, especially Sanjay Singh (a force to reckon with) & other parties. A massive show of strength - in National interest & in the right direction...Jai Hind!"
In another tweet he said, "....It is in no way an anti ruling party rally but a pro-democratic promotion. We need your blessings and people’s participation. People are gearing up for a united front. Isn’t that a great sign of a true democracy? Jai Hind!"
Describing his participation with the opposition parties as his nobility, Sinha said that he tries to show his party a mirror with his statements. Earlier, after attending the Iftar party hosted by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Sinha had stated that the BJP was his party but Lalu Prasad and his kin were like a family to him.
In recent months there had been rumours of Sinha joining the RJD as he had on various occasions, criticised the top BJP leadership and its decisions and described Lalu Prasad as his "best friend". However, refuting all such rumours, the Bollywood actor said that he will continue to be with the BJP and will not go anywhere.
