New Delhi: Union Minister and BJP MP from Karnataka, Sadananda Gowda was seen flouting quarantine rules on Monday. Gowda arrived at Bengaluru airport from Delhi and straight away got into his car and drove to his residence, skipping the institutional quarantine measures.

"I'm a Minister and I'm heading Pharmaceutical Ministry. If supply of medicines and other things isn't proper then what doctors can do for patients,is it not failure of govt? It's my responsibility to ensure supply of medicines to each corner of the country", Union Minister Sadananda Gowda

Flight services has resumed in the country and every state has directed its own set of rules.

Karnataka government headed by BS Yediyurappa has made it mandatory for every passenger arriving by domestic flights in Karnataka from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh to undergo a week-long institutional quarantine

The passengers coming through the remaining states to Karnataka will have to undergo 14 days of home quarantine.

However, the state government clarified that special cases where businessmen are coming for urgent work will not require to undergo any quarantine if they bring test results that are not more than two days old and show them COVID-negative.

However, Sadananda Gowda managed to skip these quarantine norms after arriving in Bengaluru from Delhi.
