The Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday trained guns on Congress after Samajwadi Party supremo Akhilesh Yadab dubbed the grand old party as “cunning” and urged the voters in Madhya Pradesh not to trust it. Union minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar alleged that Congress did “fraud” in disbursement of unemployment allowance in Karnataka that it promised during the polls.
"I usually do not agree with what Akhilesh Yadav says but yesterday he made a very good description and said that the Congress party is a fraud. I want to keep some facts about the frauds done by the Congress party,” said the Union Minister of State for Skill Development, Entrepreneurship, and Electronics and Information Technology during a press conference on Monday.
“There were elections recently in Karnataka where Congress made 5 promises. Congress party promised to provide Rs 3,000 allowance for unemployed youth in the state but after the elections, they changed it and said that they will provide it only to the youth who were unemployed the previous year after graduating,” he added.
The BJP minister’s statement stemmed from a remark by SP chief Akhilesh Yadav who dubbed the Congress party as “cunning” over seat-sharing in the upcoming assembly polls in Madhya Pradesh.
Differences emerged between the two allies of the I.N.D.I.A. bloc after Congress party did not leave any seats for the SP in the poll-bound MP.

Addressing a public rally, Yadav said, "If you are getting nothing as ration, then why will you vote for BJP? Do not even vote for Congress, they are a very cunning party...If Congress can cheat on us...Congress wants caste-based census for the sake of votes."
The former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said that earlier Congress leaders said they were considering leaving six constituencies for SP nominees in a seat-sharing agreement in the state, but did not concede even one later.
