New Delhi: BJP national president JP Nadda on Monday, while addressing a convention of Gorakhpur area booth presidents at Champa Devi Park, lashed out at the dynastic politics of the opposition.
At the convention, Nadda without naming any political party said, "We move forward with cultural nationalism and they (opposition) with 'vanshwad' (dynastic politics). For us nationalism is important and for them 'vanshwad' is everything."
Nadda claimed he has questioned opposition leaders if "standing for only one family" hurts their conscience.
"You (opposition leaders) have taken a 'theka' (contract) for clapping for only one family... they replied that they are trapped and cannot do anything in this regard," Nadda was quoted by PTI in its report.
While the BJP's slogan is "sabka saath, sabka vishwas," the opposition engages in vote-bank politics and is concerned solely about a "particularly community and family."
While hinting at the Samajwadi Party supremo Akhilesh Yadav, BJP President said, "We think about the progress of everyone and they think about their brother and chacha (uncle). Now, he has stopped thinking about chacha also."
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, speaking at the gathering, stated that it is the same state where the mafia and rioters used to rule under previous regimes, but that the thugs have forgotten about hooliganism today.
He said that the mafia has fled the state today because they understand that if they engage in anarchy, they would face "recovery" as well.
Nadda lauded PM Modi for scrapping farm laws:
The BJP Chief indirectly applauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for scrapping three agrarian laws and said that PM Modi has done more for farmers than any other farmer leader, and he went after the opposition parties, accusing them of believing in family rule rather than democracy.
Many individuals become farmers' leaders, but if anybody has done anything for farmers, it is Modi, the BJP president said in statements made days after the prime minister announced the repeal of three agri-laws that sparked protests from a part of the farming community.
