Supaul: The Covid-19 vaccination certificate is being issued by the department without people actually taking the jab. Recently a young woman who went to the Triveniganj sub-divisional hospital in Supaul to get the vaccine was issued a certificate without taking the vaccine. Her complaint fell on deaf ears.

Actually, 18-year-old Sweety Priya booked a slot on Co-WIN to get the Covid-19 vaccine. She was informed about her slot at1 o'clock on Saturday through a message. When she reached the vaccination center at Lalpatti, the middle school of Triveniganj, it was closed. After this, the student reached the sub-divisional hospital Triveniganj along with her parents.

None of the workers at the sub-divisional hospital Triveniganj informed anything about the closure of the vaccination center. After repeated complaints at sub-divisional hospital Triveniganj, the student contacted the deputy superintendent of the student hospital on his mobile to get an update. However, she did not get an answer. The student was then issued a certificate of vaccination without being vaccinated.

Department in action after complaint to DM

On not receiving any response from the hospital staff, Sweety Priya contacted DM Mahendra Kumar on his cell and narrated the incident. Thereafter, the department and the Deputy Superintendent in charge of the sub-divisional hospital Triveniganj swung into action. The hospital staff then made arrangements to inoculate Sweety Priya and her parents.

Officials evade questions by media

Sweety then refused to get vaccinated. She said she would get vaccinated only after the system was rectified and the culprits were nabbed. When senior officials heard about it on Sunday, a team of officers reached Sweety's house in Triveniganj market to apologize to her. However, she refused to get vaccinated. Here, the officials avoided answering the media.
