The sitting Chief Minister of Bihar immediately demanded a CBI probe and same was delivered whereas Opposition, since beginning, was targeting the ruling coalition for taking political mileage of the situation.
The propaganda
Political parties have often tried to take the advantage of the Bihari vs Marathi in many prior conducted polls. The incident took place in Maharashtra and the current regime in the state of Maharashtra is Opposition at the Center with being vice versa in Bihar. This rivalry was clearly seen in this incident and it cannot be denied that both the dispensation tried to take the political advantage of the situation. Soon after the incident took political turn, it became a sensation issue and one of the most important discussions in Prime Time debates. We all have seen the Kangna vs Sanjay Raut drama and aftermaths of the same clearly indicates that this incident was deliberately used for political mileage.
Role of media and social media
As an observer one can easily understand by the campaigns running across social media ever since June 14 when this incident took place is that despite what AIIMS said in their report or prima facia report of Mumbai Police, the political parties with the help of IT cells and media handlers were trying to give political angle to the incident. Mumbai Police in a report told that almost 80k fake accounts were created to discredit Mumbai Police.
Sushant Singh Rajput was an actor for all
We need to understand that Sushant was an entertainment icon and a hero for all. He was not a political figure neither he had any political affiliations nor he had ever taken a stoop in politics in order to create any fan base.
Is Sushant's death an issue in upcoming Bihar Election?
Bihar has lost a son and country a talented actor like Sushant singh Rajput. The whole nation mourned and is still in the state of trauma but for Biharis there are much larger issues such as livelihood, employment, infrastructure and many more in the upcoming election. Bihar has several other issues such as flood, migrant labours, industrialisation, education and these are all basic in nature. Bihar has not overcome even such fundamental demands and thus it will be same in the upcoming polls.
It is widely evident that caste will play the biggest role than any other factor majorly like always, and include the aforementioned needs and demands of the voters, it seems difficult that the tragic death of Sushant Singh Rajput will make any impact.
The current political situation in state
All the political parties are on ground and ever since the AIIMS report on Sushant's suicide came to public domain, the jargon has changed completely and the candidates are fighting and debating on hardcore ground realities. After the death of Ramvilas Paswan and LJP’s exit from the NDA, there are many affiliations that matters pre-poll for political parties as well as poll pundits of Bihar.
People are today discussing about road, electricity, floods, coronavirus, unemployment and other such fundamental issues and the party or coalition that addresses or vows to resolve these issues will be given the state Assembly for the next 5 years.
