New Delhi: As Bihar government continues to grapple with increasing crime rates, a fresh incident has again raised questions over the administration of the state. In Samastipur, a doctor who went missing on Wednesday has not been traced even after four days of the incident as any clue still eludes the police.

The family members of Gaurav Anand, who is a notable doctor of the city have grown apprehensive and are fearing any untoward incident, since no clue has been found yet.

Gaurav Anand went missing from Kashipur locality of Samastipur. When he did not return till late in the evening, his father registered a complaint with the police. The family members said that Gaurav had left his clinic like everyday to return home but has not yet come back. They first feared that Gaurav might be miffed over some household issue, so he might have gone somewhere but would come back soon. However, when he did not return till late evening and his mobile phone was switched off, they filed a complaint at police station.

As per the information received Gaurav was suffering from depression from past few days and was under treatment but was ignoring medicines. On the day he went missing and the day before that, Gaurav had an argument with his family members.

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav expressed his concern for the missing doctor and  raised questions on Bihar’s law and order situation in a tweet. In his tweet he stated that the doctor has been kidnapped.
