New Delhi: The Bharat Parv was unveiled at Red Fort in New Delhi on Thursday evening by G Kishan Reddy, the Union Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Development of the North Eastern Region. As part of the Republic Day celebrations, this massive six-day event will run until the 31st of this month. The event will be open to the public every day from Friday afternoon until 10 p.m.
"Vivify Republic Day festivities with 'Bharat Parv'- a six-day mega event at Red Fort Lawns & Gyan Path, New Delhi, 26th to 31st January 2023. Explore the culture, cuisine, dances and handicrafts of the country & witness the spirit of Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat," wrote Reddy on his Twitter.
According to the Tourism Ministry, some of the best Republic Day Parade tableaux will be displayed during the event. In addition, 65 stalls selling handicrafts have been set up in an Indian Food Court and Crafts Bazaar at the event. Throughout the event, Dekho Apna Desh, Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, G20, and Mission LIFE will also be branded and promoted.
After a gap of two years, this event is being held in person at the Lawns and Gyan Path in front of Red Fort.
Bharat Parv was recently held in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 (Virtually) at the Lawns and Gyan Path before Red Fort. The actual occasion is being coordinated following a hole of 2 years at the Lawns and Gyan Path in front of Red Fort.
