Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is weakening the laws enacted by Congress-led UPA government for the welfare of tribals.

"PM Modi weakening laws enacted by UPA govt for welfare and empowerment of tribals," PTI quoted the Congress MP as saying.

"We will not allow them to weaken these laws. We will make these laws stronger," Gandhi said. Talking about the Bharat Jodo Yatra, he said, "This Yatra started in Kanyakumari and would end in Srinagar. Out motive is to unite India."
