Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday visited motorcycle mechanics' workshops in Delhi’s Karol Bagh and interacted with them. "These hands create India. The grease on these clothes is our pride and self respect. Only a people's hero works to encourage them. Shri Rahul Gandhi with bike mechanics at Karol Bagh in Delhi. 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' continues...," said the Congress as it shared Gandhi’s photo on Twitter.
The former Lok Sabha MP also posted a picture of his interaction with the mechanics of Facebook and wrote: "Learning from the hands that turn the wrenches, and keep the wheels of Bharat moving." The Congress also shared pictures on Facebook of the former party chief working on motorcycles and interacting with the mechanics.
In the photos, Rahul Gandhi could be seen trying his hands at the skill, he also spoke with the mechanics and enquired about machines and other equipment.
On May 23, the former Wayanad MP was seen riding a truck from Delhi to Chandigarh. He asked the truck drivers about their issues and problems.
This is not the first time that the Congress leader has been meeting skilled labourers. During campaigning for Karnataka elections this year, Gandhi was seen riding a bike with delivery partners of food aggregator apps. He also interacted with the delivery partners in Bengaluru.
On his recent trip to the United States also, he was seen riding a truck while visiting New York and spoke with an Indian truck driver.
