New Delhi: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's children Seerat Kaur Mann (21) and Dilshan Mann (17) attended his swearing-in ceremony today at Khatkar Kalan.

The news of both the children going to be a party of the ceremony was confirmed to The Indian Express by Mann's ex-wife Inderpreet Kaur.

“Both our children have reached India and they will attend Bhagwant’s swearing-in ceremony at Khatkar Kalan. They are overwhelmed and very excited. They need some time to sink-in this feeling,” said Inderpreet while speaking to the media house from the US.

“I always worked hard for his success but behind his back. I have never said anything bad for him from my side. He was always in my prayers for all these years and will always continue to be. Yes, there were physical distances but that doesn’t mean we were not praying for his success. It’s just that I was busy here in the US with my work and children’s studies,” she further added.

Both the children have been living in the United States with their mother after she seperated from Bhagwant Mann in 2015.

Mann's swearing-in ceremony took place at Khatkar Kalan village which is the ancestral village of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh.

The event was attended by Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal and other leaders of the party. AAP won 92 out of 117 assembly seats in Punjab.

According to news agency PTI, nearly three lakh people attended the oath-taking ceremony of Bhagwant Mann.
