Bengaluru police have arrested a man accused of killing his vlogger girlfriend and spending two days with her corpse in a serviced apartment. The victim, Maya Gogoi, a vlogger from Assam, was allegedly killed by her boyfriend, Aarav Hanoy from Kerala's Kannur, earlier this week.
After committing the crime, Aarav reportedly fled Karnataka leading to a manhunt across state borders. His arrest was made outside Karnataka, though the exact location has not yet been disclosed.
The police reportedly tracked Aarav with the help of CCTV footage. Earlier, police retrieved the footage from the apartment which showed Aarav and his girlfriend checking in together.

According to reports, Maya moved to Bengaluru only six months ago. Initially, she stayed with her sister and friend in Whitefield. However, just 20 days ago, she moved to Jayanagar after reportedly getting job at a private firm in the area.
On the murder, DCP Bengaluru D Devaraja earlier said, "We got information that there is some stinking smell coming from a room in a service apartment in Bengaluru's Indiranagar. Our officers and forensic team visited and found the body of a lady on the bed. After examination, a murder case was registered at Indiranagar Police Station."
He said that Aarav checked in along with his girlfriend at the service apartment on November 23 and left the apartment on November 26. The man had reportedly spent the two days smoking next to the corpse.
The police also said that several stab marks were found on her body.
