A bus accident occurred on the Gondia-Kohmara State Highway near Khajri village on November 29, leaving at least 9 people dead and many others injured. The accident took place between 12:00 and 12:30 PM when a Shivshahi bus (MH 09/EM 1273), travelling from Bhandara to Gondia, overturned while trying to avoid a bike.

The bus was en route to Gondia via Sakoli and Lakhani when a bike appeared suddenly around a sharp turn.
