The former Karnataka Chief Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Basavaraj Bommai took a swipe at the opposition meeting, which is scheduled to be held on July 17 and 18 in Bengaluru, and said that when zero is added to zero, it is nothing, as reported by the news agency ANI. He further stated that the sole aim of the opposition is to bring down Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The two-day mega meeting will be held to chalk out a joint strategy to take on the BJP unitedly in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.


The meeting comes in the backdrop of the split in the Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) after Ajit Pawar-led faction joined the ruling BJP-Shiv Sena government and also the West Bengal panchayat polls which saw widespread violence.






Cong, CPI(M) And TMC Killing Each Other In Bengal And Uniting In Bengaluru: BJP's Rahul Sinha 


Ahead of the opposition meeting, BJP leader Rahul Sinha said that Congress, CPI(M) and TMC) are killing each other and in Bengaluru and they are uniting in Bengaluru to oust PM Modi. "Here in Bengal, they (Congress, CPI(M) and TMC) are killing each other and in Bengaluru, they are uniting to oust PM Modi (from power). Why this drama?" Rahul Sinha said, as quoted by PTI.
