3 J&K Govt Employees Sacked For Working With Pak Terror Groups: Report

Jammu and Kashmir sacked three government employees for working with various Pakistani terror groups.

The Jammu and Kashmir administration has terminated the services of three more government employees for actively working with Pakistani terror outfits and providing logistics to terrorists, propagating terrorist ideology, raising terror finances and furthering secessionist agenda, news agency ANI reported. They have been terminated under Article 311 (2) (C) of the Indian Constitution which allows the government to terminate an employee without conducting an inquiry. As per ANI, an early investigation revealed that the said employees were allegedly acting on behalf of Pakistan Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and terror outfits.

The termination of Kashmir University Public Relations Officer (PRO) Faheem Aslam, revenue officer Murawat Hussain Mir and police officer Arshad Ahmad Thoker was ordered on Monday.

Faheem Aslam was working at the University of Kashmir as a PRO. He was said to be an aide of terrorist Shabir Shah before he ventured into a legitimate business with the seed money that he got from ISI. Allegedly he had also been writing for a prominent newspaper as well as on social media. According to ANI, the content of the writings left very little to no doubt about the intent of those writings viz. legitimise terrorism in J&K and support the secession of it from the Indian Union.

The second accused, Arshad Ahmad Thoker, was recruited as a constable in J&K Police into Armed Police in 2006 and then he came in contact with Over Ground Workers of Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). After this, he became a conduit and an alleged logistic supporter for them as well, as reported by ANI.

The third accused, Murawat Hussain Mir, was working in the revenue department. As per ANI, he was a hardcore proponent of secessionist myths, and an alleged point-man for several terror outfits like Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) and the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF).

The dismissal of these officials comes days after J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s policy of “Zero Tolerance Against Terrorism” came into effect. With the latest order, 52 government officers have so far been sacked for alleged links with terror outfits, reported ANI.
