New Delhi: The month of September witnesses several religious festivals being celebrated across the nation but does not have many public holidays. In wake of religious festivals which might keep the banking staff for various banks engaged in performing certain ceremonies or rituals at home, the Reserve Bank of India has brought out the list of bank holidays in September.
According to the list of bank holidays announced by the RBI, most states wont have any banking operations on September 2, 17, and 21 as these days will be observed as Bank holidays for the upcoming month..

Additionally, both private and public sector banks will remain closed on the second, fourth Saturday, and Sunday. Netbanking and mobile banking facilities will continue to operate even on holidays unless specified by the bank.
