New Delhi: As a part of her ongoing India visit, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in Jaipur on Thursday and upon her arrival, danced with the local artistes who were gathered there to welcome her at the airport.

A video, posted by news agency ANI, shows the Bangladesh Prime Minister grooving to music with the local artistes of Rajasthan at the airport.

It is to be noted that PM Hasina and her delegation reached the Jaipur International Airport by a special aircraft. The Bangladesh Prime Minister was received by state Education Minister BD Kalla and other top officials.

According to a report by news agency PTI, the delegation stayed for a while at the VIP lounge of the Jaipur airport before leaving for Ajmer by road.

In Ajmer, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid obeisance at the dargah of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti in the afternoon.

The PM was given a red carpet welcome at the dargah amid tight security arrangements. Hasina also performed ziyarat at the shrine.

Notably, according to the protocols followed for visits by a head of a nation, there was no other devotee on the dargah premises and the dargah market was also closed.

Earlier this week, PM Hasina praised India for rescuing students of her country stuck in eastern Europe due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict ahead of the bilateral visit to the nation.

Hasina also lauded the Modi government's initiative of providing Covid-19 vaccines to neighbouring countries under its 'Vaccine Maitri' programme at a time when the pandemic was at its peak, reported news agency ANI. Calling upon closer cooperation between the two neighbours, she said, “There can be differences but these should be addressed through dialogue and in a number of areas, India and Bangladesh had precisely done that.”
