In a momentous event marking the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony of the Ram Temple, Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam hailed the inauguration of the Ram Mandir crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking on Monday, Krishnam underscored the significance of the day as the re-establishment of 'Ram Rajya' and the culmination of centuries of struggle.

"This is the day of the rule of Sanatana and the re-establishment of 'Ram Rajya'. This day has come after a struggle of centuries and sacrifices of thousands of people when we have become a witness to the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony of the temple on Ram Janmabhoomi. I think this would not have been possible had the Prime Minister not been Narendra Modi," remarked Krishnam while speaking to news agency ANI.

He urged those opposing the ceremony to differentiate between political matters and reverence for Lord Ram: "Those who are opposing (the ceremony), I want to tell them, they can oppose a party but should not oppose (Lord) Ram. You can fight with a political party, but don't fight with Ram. You can defeat a political party, but you cannot defeat Ram, Santana, and India. Ram is India's soul."

"It is a glorious day. One Deepavali was celebrated when Ram emerged victorious from Lanka, the other will be celebrated now. It is an even bigger Deepavali," he added.

Congress Leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam Credits PM Modi For SC Verdict In Ram Janmabhoomi Case

Earlier, the Congress leader expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Modi on Sunday for the realisation of the long-awaited Ram Mandir, emphasising that the temple would not have been built without his leadership. Acknowledging the Supreme Court's landmark ruling in favor of the Hindu side in the Ram Janmabhoomi title suit, Krishnam also commended the sacrifices of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal members in bringing the Ram Temple Movement to fruition.

"Many governments were elected and several PMs came and went but none showed the political will to end the 500-year wait for the Ram Temple. Members of the VHP and Bajrang Dal, too, made plenty of sacrifices, but this temple would never have been a reality if Modi wasn't PM," Krishnam asserted, as per ANI.

He lauded PM Modi's commitment, referencing the 11-day Anushthan during which the Prime Minister embraced rigorous religious practices, fasted, and visited shrines associated with Lord Ram across the country. "From Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru till today, the country has seen many PMs. But none made such a big effort to fulfill a long-held demand or wish. I commend the prime minister for this work," said Krishnam.

The Congress leader also expressed disappointment at opposition leaders declining invitations to the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony, viewing it as an insult to Indian culture. "No follower of the Christian faith or a priest, or a Muslim preacher can ever turn down an invitation from Lord Ram. Rejecting Prabhu Ram's invitation means insulting Indian culture. It is akin to casting aspersions on the country's identity and civilisational ethos," he emphasised, as quoted by ANI.

In defense of his own presence at the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony, Krishnam deemed himself fortunate and highlighted the transformative changes in Ayodhya. "I consider myself fortunate to have received an invitation to the 'Pran Pratishtha' of Lord Ram. Looking at how Ayodhya has transformed, I feel privileged to be here. It must be the result of some good deeds in my previous life. The difference between the Ayodhya of today and the one of yore is the same as between darkness and light," he added.
