Independent MLA Pradeep Jaiswal on joining BJP: "Initially I supported Congress, but when the government collapsed in 1.5 years, then I gave support to the new government. I remained with them till the last moment, but when the government collapsed, then I thought that I (as an Independent MLA) should support the (BJP) government for the welfare of people."
On BRS manifesto, party MLC K Kavitha said, "We are very happy and proud that BRS has released the election manifesto of 2023 yesterday...It is a manifesto which will set the country on a different course not only the state....We are into very good policy-making and we have continued that...Our manifesto is a very clear reflection of our leader's mind..."

BJP National President JP Nadda will visit Udaipur and Jodhpur districts of Rajasthan today. He will hold meetings with party leaders in the state.
The Samajwadi Party (SP) on Sunday declared a list of nine candidates for the assembly polls in Madhya Pradesh scheduled on November 17. SP leader Yash Bhartiya said the names of six candidates on the list were announced earlier while three new names were added to it.
Supporters of senior Chhattisgarh BJP leader and former minister Ganesh Ram Bhagat have been staging a protest outside the party's state office in Raipur since Saturday evening to change the party's nominee from the Jashpur assembly constituency. The BJP has fielded Raimuni Bhagat, a woman member of Jashpur Zila Panchayat, from the Jashpur seat (reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates).
Unhappy over her candidature, BJP workers and supporters of Ganesh Ram Bhagat, a former MLA of five terms, reached Raipur in three buses on Saturday and sat on a protest outside the party's state office Kushabhau Thakre Parisar.
On the Madhya Pradesh election, Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar says, "There is no winning candidate in the Congress list. In the list released by BJP, most of the candidates will win. The names on remaining seats will also be announced soon..."
On BRS party's manifesto for upcoming Telangana Assembly polls, BJP Telangana State Election Incharge Prakash Javadekar says, "...BJP will win Telangana elections, and Congress will finish third...BRS promised to provide land to Dalits and tribals but failed to deliver it. They also said they would fill 3 lakh job vacancies, but this has also not been fulfilled. Unemployed youths were promised an allowance of Rs 3000 but nothing has been done. Their promises lack credibility and no one believes them..."
"Elections come and go. We need to identify what is good for us. Vote changes our future, our state's future. It's very important that we decide on our own. Don't listen to others but decide for yourself. Few parties are saying to give them one chance. You ruled for 60 years from here to Delhi. It's shameful that Dalits are still living in poverty even after 75 years of independence. If the Dalit Bandhu-like scheme had started 75 years ago would there have been poverty? The people who were asking for one chance were given 10 to 12 chances but they didn't do anything," KCR said while addressing a rally in Telangana.
The police have seized jewellery and unaccounted cash worth Rs 98.61 lakh from two different locations in poll-bound Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur city, a senior official said on Sunday, PTI reported.
"The Jat community is not happy with the Ashok Gehlot government. They don't want to vote for the BJP either. They want to vote for the RLP this time," says Rashtriya Loktantrik Party founder Hanuman Beniwal.

Congress prepares a high-tech election 'war room' ahead of the Chhattisgarh elections.
"This is a war room for election preparation. It is divided into multiple verticals. There is a ground campaign management unit... There is also a political analysis unit," says AICC National Coordinator of Social Media & Digital Communication, Ayush Pandey.
This is the social media management unit. All the digital war is fought from here. All the digital narrative is being set from here. All publications and advertisements are released from here... There is also a call centre working from 9 am to 10 pm. It will work for 24 hours when elections come nearer..."
Chhattisgarh Deputy CM TS Singh Deo who has been fielded from Ambikapur says, "...I am extremely thankful to Congress High Command...We will try to continue the work we started five years ago...New things will need to be done. To achieve all these targets, we will ask for the opportunity."
Bharat Rashtra Samithi president and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will announce the party’s manifesto and launch his campaign for the November 30 Assembly polls on Sunday.
Congress has released its first list of candidates for Telangana Assembly polls.
"We (Mizo National Front) are busy in preparing ourselves for the (upcoming Assembly) elections. We are really hopeful that we shall be able to win the majority and form the government (again)," says Mizoram CM Zormanthanga ahead of assembly polls.

The Congress party is set to release its first list of candidates for Chhattisgarh on Sunday. Of the 20 seats that will undergo first phase of polling in the state, the Congress currently holds 19 with 17 of them won in 2018 Assembly polls and the other two secured through bypolls. Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party has already released two lists of candidates for Chhattisgarh as well as Madhya Pradesh.
The decision to announce the names of candidates comes after the Congress party held discussions on Friday in its meeting of the Central Election Commission in the national capital. Deliberations were held for the names of candidates for Madhya Pradesh as well as it asserted that the party is moving towards securing a full majority in the state.
The meeting was chaired by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and was attended by former party chief Rahul Gandhi, AICC general secretary in-charge for Madhya Pradesh Randeep Surjewala and former chief minister Kamal Nath.
In the north eastern state of Mizoram, the ruling
Mizo National Front (MNF) forged an alliance with the Hmar People's Convention (Reformation), a faction of the HPC party, on Saturday. MNF general secretary Lalmuanthanga Fanai inked an agreement with HPC(R) general secretary HT Vunga for the alliance.
The BJP has appointed Union minister Kiren Rijiju as the election in-charge for the polls in the state.
Additionally, Yanthungo Patton, the Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland, and the party's National General Secretary Anil Antony have been designated as election co-incharges.
The Assembly polls in the five states will be held between November 7 and November 30. Mizoram will go to polls on November 7, Madhya Pradesh on November 17, Rajasthan on November 25, and Telangana on November 30 while Chhattisgarh will vote in two phases on November 7 and November 17.
