"If we (BJP) are voted to power in Bengal then we too will implement NRC in Bengal. We will send back illegal citizens to Bangladesh. Tough days are ahead, we will not tolerate any illegal immigrants in Bengal," PTI quoted Ghosh as saying.
He said those voice their support for illegal immigrants will also be thrown out of the country.
"The NRC in Assam is being implemented following the orders of the court (Supreme Court). It was Congress which had proposed the idea of NRC. Now they are speaking against it," Ghosh said.
"Those who are inviting illegal immigrants from the neighbouring country should not talk much about integrity and security of the country," he said.
The BJP leader slammed West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for her comments on NRC draft and she should stop doing vote bank politics on each and every issue.
The "complete draft" of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) was published on Monday featuring 2.9 crore names out of the total 3.29 crore applicants in Assam. The names of 40.07 lakh applicants, however, did not find a place in the historic document.
Mamata Banerjee hit out at the Centre over the exclusion of 40 lakh names in the NRC saying those "Indian citizens have become refugees" in their own land.
Banerjee also alleged that the central government has resorted to "vote-bank politics".
"This divide and rule policy will finish the country", she said. Banerjee also claimed that names of people who have passports, Aadhaar and voter cards have also been excluded from the final draft.
