Asaduddin Owaisi, President of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and Member of Parliament, launched a scathing attack on the recent Opposition meeting on Friday (June 23), questioning the track records of the political leaders who had gathered there. In a fiery statement, Owaisi questioned the credibility and achievements of the assembled leaders, casting doubt on their past performances and ability to effect real change.

Owaisi can be seen questioning the leaders assembled for the meeting in Patna in a video shared by news agency ANI. Owaisi said that the opposition does not want PM Narendra Modi to serve another term as Prime Minister. Those leaders who have gathered to plan the upcoming Lok Sabha election should first look back at their past records.

"Nitish Kumar formed the government with BJP several times in his state, was in alliance with the centre-ruling party for years," Owaisi said of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. "He left them (BJP) again and joined them to become chief minister, and then he abruptly parted ways, joined hands with his previous rivals, and rallied people to oppose those he has been supporting for years," he added further.

The AIMIM chief then launched an attack on the Congress party, claiming that the BJP gained power in the centre and has maintained its success because of the grand old party. "Isn't it true that the BJP came to power twice because of the Congress?" he asked.

Owaisi slammed Shiv-Sena (UBT), saying, "It has now become a secular party." The same Shiv Sena that once boasted about demolishing the Babri Masjid." He went on to criticise Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, claiming that he supported the BJP when Article 370 was repealed.

Owaisi questioned the credibility of these leaders, asking, "What is this? When communal violence erupted in Bihar, the chief minister did not visit his own district, and a 100-year-old Madarsa was destroyed. I'm not sure what will come of this meeting".
