New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will be CM candidate for Punjab polls, said Delhi's Deputy CM Manish Sisodia.

Manish Sisodia said this during election campaign in Mohali.

"One brother was asking me here who will become CM of Punjab, I said you keep believing that Arvind Kejriwal will be the CM...whoever becomes the CM, it will be responsibility of Kejriwal to fulfill whatever promises that have been made," Sisodia said during a rally.



It is pertinent to mention here that the Punjab legislative assembly election, 2017 will be held on 04 February 2017 to select the 117 members of the Punjab Legislative Assembly.

On 11 March, the results of the election will be announced. The current ruling coalition is Shiromani Akali Dal - Bharatiya Janata Party alliance led by Parkash Singh Badal.

Arvind Kejriwal is presently the Chief Minister of Delhi since February 2015.  Previously also he served as Chief Minister from December 2013 to February 2014, stepping down after 49 days.

Kejriwal is the national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party. His party won the 2015 Delhi Assembly elections with a majority, obtaining 67 out of 70 assembly seats.
