New Delhi: Delhi Cheif Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Education Minister Manish Sisodia on Thursday reached Rabea Girls Public school and spoke to school management and the principal about the alleged confinement of kindergarten students in the basement for not paying school fees. While speaking to the media, CM said that such behaviour by the educational institute is not acceptable at any cost. He further said that a strict action will be taken against guilty.

On the other hand, there has been a tensed situation outside the school premises. In an outrageous incident, the senior school students and alumni of the school have raised their voice in the favor of the school and the management saying that the students were not locked as alleged. The students said that the girls were just segregated from the rest of the students and were asked to sit in the room.

The students held placards which said "Don't spread fake news" and "Support Rabea". According to them, the school has been maligned with wrong allegations and that the room in which the students were kept, is the most spacious and airy room of the building.

However, the parents of the young girls protesting outside the school said that the senior students were making the statement under the influence of the principal.

The matter came into limelight when the angry the parents of the little girls alleged that school authorities holed-up 40 young girls in school basement for not paying the fee for 6 hours. They said the lights were also dimmed to frightened the girls. The parents are also claimed that the teachers had switched off the fans and made the girls sit in heat.

As per the report, the girls belong to Lower Kindergarten and Nursery standard of the school, which is located in Delhi's Chandni Chowk area.

A parent who had come to get his daughter home, recorded the video of the incident, which had gone viral on social media and the school authorities are drawing flak over the same.
