Antigua: Fugitive businessman Mehul Choksi was caught in Dominica after he had been missing from Antigua for the past few days. Gaston Browne, the Prime Minister of Antigua has made controversial claims about Choksi getting caught. He said that Mehul Choksi "made a mistake" by traveling with his girlfriend.
During an interview, Gaston Browne said, "Mehul Choksi made a mistake and the information we are getting is that Choksi traveled with his girlfriend but he was caught in Dominica and now he can be deported back to India."

Nonetheless, the bottom line remains that Mehul Choksi is under arrest in Dominica and soon will be repatriated to India. The diamond merchant will finally be brought to India. However, Mehul Choksi's lawyer said that the fugitive merchant was abducted forcefully and beaten up.
Mehul Choksi's lawyer Vijay Aggarwal said on Sunday, "All these theories of Mehul Choksi fleeing from Antigua voluntarily are opposed to common sense. Firstly, he has a stay in his favor in Antigua and secondly, I have been informed that his passport is in Antigua only. Nobody will try to escape without having his passport in his pocket."
