Tirupati: People are widely attracted to unique videos on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram etc. and the quest to become viral on the internet is taking a hazardous turn these days. In what could have been a major misshaping of sorts, a passenger train near Tirupati survived a miraculous escape after a man kept liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder on railway tracks to make a video for social media. The video has gone viral on social media by a young Andhra man who risked lives of hundreds of people just to make a viral video of train running over a gas cylinder.


According to reports, identified as Kongara Ramireddy, a B Tech graduate hailing from Chellore in Yerpedu mandal of Chittoor district, the man has made many risky videos in the past to get popular.  Police have arrested the accused and have registered a case under section 153 (Endangering the safety of persons travelling by railway by willful act or omission) and 143 (trespass of Railways) of the Railways Act, 1989.

In his initial statement to the Police, the man said that he made such videos to earn money. So far the man has made over 40 such videos for his Youtube channel which involve dangerous acts of putting harmful objects on railways tracks risking lives of many. The video was shared by the Youtube page of ETV Andhra Pradesh.

Till now he has placed several objects like vegetables, fruits, pieces of chicken, toys, crackers, cycle chain, and even a bike on railway tracks near his house.


Reportedly, he made such videos with an intention to get more viewership and earn money from social media platforms. The accused also informed the police that he got idea of making such videos from other Youtube channels and did not expect that it would cause any harm to others. Police have said that said that such acts are grievous in nature and could have resulted in serious damage to the railways and possibly to passenger.
