New Delhi: Anand Mahindra, the industrialist threatened to sue whoever was behind spreading misinformation about him. The Mahindra chairman took to Twitter after an Instagram post had his photo along with a fake quote. 


He took to Twitter this Sunday to share a screenshot of the quote in question, saying that it was "completely fabricated".

"An average Indian man spends his days following women on social media, putting his hopes into sports teams and leaving his dreams in the hands of a politician that doesn't care," read the quote that was falsely attributed to Anand Mahindra.


Mahindra an active Twitter user has a following of 8.5 million users. He shared a screenshot along with two memes himself stating that he will use the memes whenever he spots more fake posts. According to his tweet, his colleague told him that it is "hunting season by miscreants on the internet."

The page in question posted an apology and said that since the page from where it was reposted had millions of followers so they assumed it was correct.
