New Delhi: Fresh controversy has surrounded Aligarh Muslim University, who hit headlines over Pakistani leader Jinnah’s photograph. A section of Hindu students of AMU have claimed that the poori-sabzi served to the students was fried in the same oil, in which earlier Mutton was cooked.

After this matter came to light, the students approached the Vice Chancellor and reported the matter. The students are alleging that so far no action has been taken. They claim that they are facing pschycological stress because of such an incident and have demanded that the provision of food for vegetarian students should be separated.

The matter took place on AMU’s SS North Hall, where students have alleged that the poori sabzi being prepared for breakfast, was being cooked in same oil where a chicken was fried a night before.

Students demand apology from management:

The agitated students have now sought an apology from the management of the Aligarh Muslim University over the incident. The students claim that they wrote a mail to the VC, but no action was taken. Seeing no action from management, the students approached media.

The students have now asked management to seek apology from Hindu students and begin an investigation in the case.  The students have warned that they would protest if no action is taken on the same. They have further claimed that the incident has hurt their religious sentiments.

Management denies allegations:

AMU management has declared the students allegations as false. University’s spokesperson said that “this kind of incident is false. There are several kinds of people in AMU and all of them live peacefully”.
