Ahmedabad: (Gujarat): Union Home Minister Amit Shah underwent a minor nose surgery on Wednesday morning at KD Hospital.
Reports say Amit Shah will be kept under observation for a couple of hours and will be discharged from the hospital at around 5pm this evening.
Shah is reportedly also in Ahmedabad to attend a family function.
In January this year, he was admitted to AIIMS in New Delhi after being diagnosed with swine flu.
The BJP leader had then confirmed the news himself in a tweet, saying: "I have been diagnosed with swine flu for which the treatment is underway. With God's grace and good wishes from all of you, I will recover soon."
Amit Shah is a Lok Sabha MP from neighbouring Gandhinagar. He had managed to win almost 70 per cent of the votes defeating Congress's Dr. CJ Chavda.
