Alwar: In yet another case of Nirbhaya-like brutality, a 16-year-old girl was gangraped in Rajasthan's Alwar district. According to reports, a mentally-challenged girl was found in a distressed state with injuries on her private parts in Alwar on Tuesday. 


After the incident was reported, authorities reached the spot and the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital. She underwent surgery at a hospital in Jaipur's JK Lone Hospital on Wednesday.

A team of several doctors has operated on the victim, after which the condition is said to be somewhat stable.


"The doctors have successfully operated on her and she is out of danger now," news agency ANI quoted Rajasthan minister Parsadi Lal Meena as saying.


The specially-abled girl had been missing from her house for several hours before she was spotted on a road near Tijara Fatak in a pool of blood at around 9 pm on Tuesday.


All the accused are yet to be nabbed. Meanwhile, Alwar SP Tejaswani Gautam has formed teams to investigate the case. While speaking to news agency PTI, Police said that around 150 CCTV cameras in the area are being examined.

Even Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has sought a report from DGP M L Lather on the matter.


Meanwhile, the state BJP has also formed a committee to seek justice for the mentally-challenged rape victim. BJP officials state president Satish Poonia met the victim and her family members at the JK Lone Hospital.
