New Delhi: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Akshay Kumar has accepted the proposal of being a brand ambassador of the state, after meeting him at the CM's residence on Monday morning.
"We had given him (Akshay Kumar) a proposal, he has accepted it. He will also work as a brand ambassador of Uttarakhand," ANI reported the CM as saying.

The actor met Chief Minister at his residence in Dehradun, Kumar who entered wearing a cap later changed to a traditional hat of the state. The actor was also given various gifts, including a model of the Char Dham and Kedarnath temple.
CM Dhami said that "Akshay Kumar is an artist as well as a good human being. We told him and he has agreed. He will act as the brand ambassador for Uttarakhand".
Akshay Kumar is shooting for his next film in Mussoorie for the last few days. In the midst of the shooting, he went to CM Dhami's house and met him this morning.
Uttarakhand, along with four other states - Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Punjab and Manipur - will go to the polls in the upcoming assembly elections. Assembly election in Uttarakhand will be held on February 14, 2022, and the results will be declared on March 10.
In the 2017 Uttarakhand Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had won 56 out of the total 70 seats. The Congress party had managed to bag 11 seats.
