Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar along with his supporters from the NCP unfurl the party flag at MET Bandra ahead of the crucial meeting. This comes as both Ajit Pawar and Sharad Pawar are holding meetings of their side of NCP leaders at different locations in Mumbai. A large number of workers have meanwhile gathered at both places claiming that the party is intact. Supporters of Ajit Pawar said that they are not against Sharad Pawar but want junior Pawar to handle to the charge of the party and Maharashtra.
NCP leader (Ajit Pawar faction) Praful Patel also reached MET Bandra to attend the party meeting called by Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar. He said, "We have everyone with us. There is no need to worry".
Meanwhile, according to sources, the Pawar battle over the control of NCP has reached the Election Commission. Both sides have reportedly informed the EC of the recent political developments.
Talking on the updates, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Priyanka Chaturvedi said, "This alliance will not work in Maharashtra because it is doomed for failure. This is a three-wheel government, in which the front tyre is punctured, which is (Eknath) Shinde."
Former Maharashtra Home Minister and NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) leader Anil Deshmukh reached YB Chavan Centre in Mumbai. He said, "We will see a huge number of supporters joining Sharad Pawar when he will go out of Maharashtra."
