Aircel Maxis Case: Court gives Chidambaram protection from arrest by ED till 10 July

Delhi: In a major relief to former Finance Minister P.Chidambaram, court on Tuesday gave him protection from arrest by ED till July 10 in Aircel-Maxis money laundering case.

Special Judge O.P. Saini announced the order and directed him to join the investigation whenever required.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) sought more time to file response on Chidambaram's anticipatory bail plea.

On May 30, the court granted interim protection to Chidambaram from arrest till June 5.



Earlier, the court had granted interim protection to Karti Chidambaram from arrest till July 10 in the same case.
